Trooper Jason Brown Memorabilia Room Opens Trooper Jason Brown Memorabilia Room Opens At Castle Hill Rsl

It was a privilege to attend the opening of the Trooper Jason Brown Memorabilia Room at the Castle Hill RSL.

The Memorabilia display was officially opened by Graham and Ann Brown, the parents of Jason, on would have been his 42nd birthday.

Special Air Service Trooper Jason Brown was an Oakhill College Alumni and was in the defence force for a decade, serving three tours of East Timor. He was a member of the SAS regiment for three years, and was on his first tour of Afghanistan as part of Operation Slipper. On the 13th of August 2010, he was killed in an ambush with Taliban insurgents in Kandahar.

The service and sacrifice of Trooper Brown will never be forgotten by Hills residents. The unveiling of the Trooper Jason Brown Memorabilia Room is a fitting tribute to him and other Hills locals who have served our nation.

I encourage all Hills residents to stop by the display just outside the Phoenix Room next time they are at the Castle Hill RSL.
