Hawkesbury City Council and Windsor RSL are proud to announce the introduction of a new Hawkesbury Sports Awards program. The new awards acknowledge sporting accomplishments of community members as well as the contributions of individuals to sporting clubs through support roles.

“Recognising members of our sporting community is extremely important. Playing sport is such an integral part of life in the Hawkesbury. It is great that these awards are able to acknowledge community members contributions and accomplishments,” Mayor of Hawkesbury, Councillor Kim Ford said.

“Whether these contributions and accomplishments are at a local, district, state or national level, in the canteen, as a coach or manager – nothing is too big or too small for these awards.”

“Council is extremely grateful for the support of Windsor RSL and Hawkesbury Sports Council in making these awards possible,” he added.

David Bertenshaw from Hawkesbury Sports Council said “Having been a long time member of Hawkesbury Sports Council, I know firsthand we have many great sports men and women and volunteers who are worthy of these awards.”
