The purpose of the Naming of Roads and Places Policy is to support names in providing a link between the community and the country or places in which the names appear. Names can also reflect the history of our communities.

This Policy supports recognition of First Nations peoples, cultures and histories in the naming of places in the public domain. The Policy applies to all parks, open spaces, roads and buildings owned, operated or managed by Hawkesbury City Council.
