All Abilities Football A Huge Hit
The nova employment football4all gala day was a huge success at valentine park, glenwood

There were smiles and laughter galore during Australia’s biggest ‘All Abilities’ football event held recently at Valentine Sports Park, Glenwood. Organised by Football NSW, the 13th NOVA Employment Football4all Gala Day attracted more than 350 participants from 14 clubs.

There were plenty of games and off-field activities including jumping castles and face painting as FNSW celebrated inclusive football.

There were Special Olympics and Heartbeat of Football marquees at the event while the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup official mascot Tazuni proved popular as the countdown continues for the event jointly hosted by New Zealand and Australia in July and August.

Local Members of Parliament, senior government, and FNSW officials, along with Sydney FC, Western Sydney Wanderers, ParaMatildas, and Pararoos players attended the event.

“It was amazing to see so many smiling faces in what was my first ever Football4all Gala Day as CEO of Football NSW,” said John Tsatsimas. “The Gala Day proved how powerful our sport is as everybody that participated from the players, coaches, referees, and carers all played a pivotal role in bringing this wonderful day to life.”

FNSW thanked NOVA Employment and its CEO Martin Wren, whose staff hosted the barbeque for several hours. Powerchair football took centre stage with matches involving Hills United FC, Western Sydney Wanderers, Newcastle Jets, and Sydney FC.

Football NSW thanked all the clubs, associations, staff, and volunteers who were involved in making the day such a success. The association congratulated all the participants, coaches, and family members for their inspirational support for the 2023 Football4all Gala Day.
