Bella Vista Farm Celebrates: The Environmental Fair

Img 0686 Bella Vista Farm Celebrates: The Environmental FairFollowing the success of last year’s Environmental Fair at Bella Vista Farm, the event will be held there again on Sunday, 5 November from 9am-2pm.

This is an open event to the general community, friends and neighbours from the Hills Shire. It will be a family-fun picnic event with Hills Shire Mayor Dr Peter Gangemi attending.

Come and visit the interesting stalls – recycling activities, demonstrations, composting, soil testing, worm farming, recycled goods, gardening tips, talks on sustainable living, pet management, bush tucker, art installations, complimentary plants/seedlings and mosaic art, or any other contribution.

Why not fulfil your enjoyment by taking a tour of Bella Vista house for a gold coin donation?

Enjoy a sausage sizzle (with onions and homemade chilli paste); and/or a delicious Devonshire Tea; visit the Trash and Treasure stall, buy plants at reasonable prices, sit and relax in the beautiful grounds of the farmhouse, listening to music performed by ensembles of the Hills Shire Symphony Orchestra.

If that’s not enough, four Cherrybrook Bands will be performing on the stage at Bella Vista Farm from 10am until 2pm.

Note: Cherrybrook PS are playing from 11:15am-12:30pm on the farm stage. The ensembles of the Hills Shire Symphony Orchestra will be playing at the Bella Vista Farmhouse in the Gardens, with the wind ensemble from 9:45am-11:15am, and the string ensemble will be playing from 12:30pm-2pm.

The need for awareness and action is becoming ever more critical and the Environmental Fair is to encourage the wider community and multicultural community groups to participate in environmental activities; to educate and share environmental practices for individuals, communities and in the home. People can bring their plastic and glass bottles for Return & Earn.

Whatever you decide to do, it will be a day to remember. Bella Vista Farm is open the first Sunday of every month (except January). You will be surprised at the beauty and history of the farm and the wonderful activities provided. Cnr Elizabeth Macarthur Drive and Norwest Boulevard, Bella Vista.
