Hills Stars Fazzari, Easthope Power Australia into Asian Futsal Finals

Nikkita Fazzari is just 17 and already is making her mark in international Futsal. The Dural Warriors forward scored five goals as Australia finished unbeaten in the recent AFC Women’s Futsal Asian Cup Qualifiers in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.

Australia, playing their first Futsal qualification competition, defeated The Philippines 2-1 in their last group game. Uzbekistan go through to the Asian finals as the Group C runnersup while The Philippines went through as the best third-placed team. Thailand and Bahrain qualified from Group A, Indonesia and Hong Kong from Group B while Vietnam and Chinese Taipei are the Group D qualifiers.

Nikkita, who represents the North West Sydney Spirit FC in the NSW NPL Women’s League, is one of the rising female footballers in NSW. Judging by her composure and outstanding goals during her Futsal debut for Australia, she could become a regular for the country.
