His involvement with the Castle Hill Show spans more than 60 years, first as a member of the Epping Junior Farmers and later showing Jersey cattle. He has been the Veterinary Representative for State Disaster Plan New South Wales Agricultural and Animal Services and is a life member of the Australian Veterinary Association.
