Walking the Camino route: Noel Braun’s spiritual quest

Come along to Hawkesbury Central Library on Thursday, 25 October from 6pm to 7:30pm to hear author Noel Braun discuss his latest memoir, I Guess I’ll Just Keep on Walking, which is the follow up to his inspiring book The Day was Made for Walking.

After his beloved wife of forty-two years, Maris, tragically ended her life, Noel struggled to find himself. At 77 years of age, he embarked on a spiritual quest of self-discovery by walking along the Camino route across France and Spain.

Despite his aging body and many personal doubts, he still had the confidence and faith within to face the arduous physical demands and reach the cathedral of Santiago de Compostela in northwestern Spain. Woven into his spiritual and emotional journey are the many fascinating stories of the people he meets along the way. Noel returns to the Camino de Santiago every second year. The Camino de Santiago, known in English as the Way of Saint James among other names, is a network of pilgrimages leading to the shrine of the apostle Saint James the Great.

Bookings are essential via www.hawkesburylibrary.eventbrite.com or call 4560 4460.

The free talk will be held at Hawkesbury Central Library, 300 George Street, Windsor, commencing at 6pm followed by tea and coffee, and book signing. Copies of Noel’s book will be available for purchase.
