Touch, Sniff, Feel Make Tactile Art Workshop
Join us for a hands-on artmaking workshop that will activate your senses as you get creative.
Inspired by the sensory artworks and spaces in our current exhibition, The View from Here by We Are Studios, we will create tactile artworks using slow-making processes. Students will use a variety of materials such as beads, paper, crayons, wool, plant materials and more to create a calming artwork on canvas. This is a great workshop for kids who like to use their imagination and experiment with materials.
All materials provided. Suitable for primary school students aged 5 – 12 years.

Opening in 2005, Hawkesbury Regional Gallery was a part of a major upgrade of cultural facilities undertaken by Hawkesbury City Council. The upgrade included the acquisition and restoration of the former Windsor Hospital, the redevelopment of the hospital site to accommodate a new library, art gallery and café, and the construction of a new museum in Baker Street.
The Gallery is a prominent public gallery within North-Western Sydney and the NSW Regional Galleries network. Curating a large proportion of exhibitions in-house, the program supports regional and NSW artists and brings new work to audiences. The program also includes touring exhibitions from regional and state galleries and touring organisations throughout Australia. The changing exhibition program covers a diverse range of art forms.
