An Audio Walk Along Dyarubbin, the Hawkesbury River
Join us for a special, behind-the-scenes view of the audio walks in the 11 Stories from the River Dyarubbin exhibition with composer and producer Oonagh Sherrard. Hear how these remarkable sonic experiences were developed and realised through local knowledge, locations, inspiration, and community stories.
You are invited to guide yourself leisurely along the river, using the audio walk from the museum, before returning for a Q&A.
Please bring your own device and headphones for the tour. Please arrive at the Museum at 10am for a 10:15 AM start.

Hawkesbury Regional Museum is located in one of our country’s oldest settlements – the third on mainland Australia after Sydney and Parramatta. Museum entry is free, with a small fee for group guided tours.
Here you can see things you won’t find anywhere else, from the celestial globe that belonged to John Tebbutt, an internationally-renowned astronomer who lived his whole life in the Hawkesbury, to the diary kept by a member of HMAS Hawkesbury during World War II and recording the Japanese surrender. Not to mention that uniquely Hawkesbury creation, the Flabbit.
