The Worlds of Wonder Summer Reading Bookmark Design Competition is open to children and teenagers across three different age groups: 5-7 years, 8-10 years and 11-14 years in the Hills area.

The winning designs will be printed into bookmarks and distributed at Hills Shire Library branches for the coming year. Winning artists will also receive a book pack prize.

Hills Shire Mayor Michelle Byrne said the competition is a great way to encourage reading, creativity and people back into libraries.

“We’ve worked really hard to deliver our library services in an online format and to ensure our most vulnerable could continue to access items as part of free delivery service. However, it’s great to see our libraries back open and people once again utilising this wonderful service,” she said.

Library members can download the bookmark template from The Hills Shire Library Service website: www.thehills.nsw.gov.au/Library.

All entries need to be submitted before Monday, November 8th at 11.59pm. Entries can be submitted online or in-person at any Hills Shire Library branch – Castle Hill, Dural, Baulkham Hills and Vinegar Hill Memorial Library at Rouse Hill Town Centre.
