Local design innovators, architects and landscapers are encouraged to submit their work for The Hills Shire’s leading showcase of design and architectural excellence, the Hills Building & Design Awards (HBDA).
Mayor of The Hills Shire, Councillor Yvonne Keane today called on the design, architectural and landscape sector to enter the Awards for the chance to showcase their projects to a regional audience.
Launched in 1993 by The Hills Shire Council, HBDA celebrates local design, innovation and construction in The Hills, and aims to help businesses and the community to better understand the role that great design and architecture plays in everyday life.
“We have smart architects, builders, designers and landscapers who are creative, and have designed and built spectacular buildings and special spaces in our community,” Mayor Keane said.
“These people are leading the way globally, and HBDA enables us, as a community, to honour and celebrate these wonderful individuals who have dreamt up things not dreamt up or devised by anyone else.
“Last year we had an overwhelming response and I know our judges had a difficult time choosing the winners from all the entries we received.
“I can’t wait to see the breadth of talent showcased in our next lot of entries.”
