AND THE WINNER IS …

Hills Relay For Life 2020 has raised more than $76,000 for Cancer Council research and support programs.

The annual event held in May was forced off its traditional home at Castle Hill Showground due to COVID-19 restrictions and was held as a virtual event.

More than 80 teams registered for the 2020 Hills Relay event.

The major raffle was drawn at Castle Towers on Wednesday, July 1 by Hills Shire Mayor Michelle Byrne, a former cancer researcher who is Patron of the Hills relay For Life.

The raffle raised more than $6,700 for the Cancer Council.

Thousands of tickets were in the barrel. First prize of a $2000 Castle Towers shopping voucher was won by Tania Ringuet, second prize, a 12-month membership at Castle Hill Fitness Centre was won by Marie Carder, third prize, $750 from Bendigo Bank was won by Lisa Carruthers.
