Winners of the much loved Hawkesbury Garden Competition will be announced at a special event next week at Windsor RSL on Wednesday, 19 October 2016 at 7pm.
The free event is open to the public and all are welcome.
The Mayor of Hawkesbury, Councillor Mary Lyons-Buckett, said “there are so many people in the community who contribute to making our local area look beautiful, their gardens bursting with spring blooms and clever landscaping ideas”.
“Our annual competition just gets better every year and it’s wonderful to see the spirit of competition amongst our local gardeners,” the Mayor said.
“The local community is most welcome to attend this event and join in the celebrations as we announce the winners of the seven categories as well as Best Regional Garden and the Grand Champion Garden.
“I know the judges would have had a difficult time choosing the winners with such a range of excellent entries this year.”
Attending the special winners’ ceremony is free but RSVPs (with your name, phone number and the number of guests attending) are essential as a light supper will be provided. RSVP by Wednesday, 12 October 2016 on (02) 4560 4444 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
The event will be held at Windsor RSL, 36 Argyle Street, Windsor.
