West Ward Byelection

Two candidates are standing for election to The Hills Shire Council at the West Ward by-election on Saturday, July 28.

Jacob Jackson (Liberal) and Immanuel Selvaraj (Labor) are vying to represent the vacant seat in West Ward following the resignation of veteran Labor councillor Raymond Harty.

Mr Jackson, 34, a father-of-three lives in Bella Vista with his wife and works for Corrective Services NSW.

Mr Selvaraj, 53, and his wife live in Baulkham Hills and have a daughter.

Voting is compulsory for West Ward residents who are aged 18-years and older and are enrolled to vote in The Hills Shire. Fines apply for failing to vote.

Residents can cast their vote on Saturday, July 28 8am to 6pm at:

  • Baulkham Hills Community Centre
  • Crestwood High School,
  • Jasper Road Public School.
  • Kellyville Public School
  • Matthew Pearce Public School
  • Model Farms High School
  • Village Green Community Centre

Postal vote applications close at 5pm on July 23. Pre poll voting will be open between July 16 and July 27.
