Meet the Eels at the Movies

The Parramatta Eels will be making a special visit to Bella Vista Farm on Sunday, November 12 for A Movie Under The Stars – Presented by Sara Perry from Belle Property Castle Hill.
The famous rugby league players will be meeting and greeting fans from 2pm to 5pm, while helping to raise much needed funds for the Ronald McDonald House Westmead – a charity that helps keep families together and close to the care their child needs.

As well as the Eels, there will be rides, carnival games, a jumping castle, face painting, boutique markets, meet and greets with popular Disney characters and a petting zoo.
Plus, there will be food trucks including Bella Shack and Knafeh Bakery, as well as a DJ, the children’s movie Despicable Me 3 and a fireworks display to wrap-up the day’s activities.

Mayor of The Hills Shire, Dr Michelle Byrne is encouraging residents to come along to the new Summer Series event and support a worthy cause.

“The day only costs a gold coin and all donations go to the Ronald McDonald House Westmead,” Mayor Byrne said.

“This incredible place provides a much-needed place to stay for the families of children undergoing treat- ment at nearby hospitals.

“Many families would be lost without this wonderful ‘home-away-from-home’ that keeps families together during what must be a very stressful time.

“We are so lucky in The Hills to live so close to The Children’s Hospital at Westmead and have access to the wonderful medical staff who work hard to care for thousands of sick children each year.

“And it’s only right that we support Ronald McDonald House Westmead so that more remote families can have the same peace of mind that we have,” Mayor Byrne added.

Event organiser, Sara Perry said she decided to hold the family fun-day after meeting families staying at the Westmead facility earlier in the year.

Ms Perry said since then, the House has held a special place in her heart.

“Ronald McDonald House Westmead is built on the simple belief that when a child is seriously ill, nothing should stand in the way of their family staying close to support them during a challenging time,” Ms Perry said
“For many families, the House provides a safe haven where there’s no need to worry about where they can afford to stay, where their next meal will come from or where they will lay their heads to rest.”

Entry to this event is a gold coin donation.

Attendees can make a further contribution at the Belle Marquee and the Belle Property Castle Hill team can show you how.
