Holiday fun for kids @ your library

We’re so excited about our next school holiday program, which includes a range of craft workshops, plus some fun and games that are absolutely free. Come along and join in on the fun at your library.

Want to learn about the ancient art of Henna? Come along to the Henna Workshop for beginners on Monday, 26 September 2-3.30pm. $5 – bookings essential. For 11 years+.

If you like creating things from old boxes, lids, containers, crepe paper and the like, book into the Recycled Art crafternoon session on Tuesday, 27 September or Tuesday, 4 October, 2-4pm.

FREE – bookings essential. For 5 years+.

If you like the idea of being taken up, up & away with a balloon lantern then come along to the Hot Air Balloon crafternoon session on Thursday, 6 October, 2-4pm. Hang up your completed balloon on your bedside table for a fun night light. $5 – bookings essential, places limited. For 8 years+.

Challenge your friends and family to a giant game of snakes and ladders, where you are the game token or play Connect-Four on a frame that stands a metre high, or noughts and crosses on a board with pieces that are bigger than your hand. Different giant games available each week from Monday, 26 September to Sunday, 9 October, during library opening hours. FREE – no need to book. All welcome.

All activities will be held at Hawkesbury Central Library, 300 George Street, Windsor or Richmond Branch Library, 29 West Market Street, Richmond. Children under the age of 10 must be accompanied by an adult.
