Hillsbus Wishes Everyone a Merry Christmas!

If you don’t have a one horse open sleigh to get you around this Christmas, ride in a Hillsbus Christmas Bus instead.

Drivers have been working hard in their own time to decorate two Christmas themed buses which are on the road this year to raise money for the Children’s Hospital at Westmead’s Light for Kids appeal. The project is financed and supported by Hillsbus.

Sydney Children’s Hospitals Network Chief Executive, Dr Michael Brydon said: “Some of our patients spend the festive season in hospital and unfortunately do not get the opportunity to head out to see the Christmas lights with their families.

This time of year is all about giving and Lights for Kids is the perfect way to be involved and help sick kids live their healthiest lives.”

The two buses, with a Santa and a North Pole theme, will operate out of the Dural depot and will run on city and local services throughout December. As passengers jingle all the way on the Christmas Buses they are encouraged to donate by placing money in the buckets provided in each bus or to go to https://www.lightsforkids.org.au/hillsbus-christmas-buses.

Over the years the buses have raised tens of thousands of dollars for The Children’s Hospital at Westmead to help in their vital role of providing specialised care and support for sick children.

“Our drivers have worked hard on making these Christmas Buses the best ever and they get a lot of satisfaction out of not only helping to raise money for a worthy cause but also providing some Christmas cheer for our customers,” said a Hillsbus spokesperson. “Once again we hope our customers will get into the festive spirit and be generous in their support.”

Hillsbus wishes all its customers a safe and happy festive season.
