Hills Illuminate to light up Rouse Hill Town Centre this festive season

Rouse Hill Town Centre, in partnership with The Hills Shire Council, will host the first-ever ‘Hills Illuminate’ this December – providing families and friends with a bright and radiant way to celebrate the festive season.

The Summer Series event will be one of Sydney’s largest Christmas-themed outdoor experiences and will officially launch on Thursday, December 7 with a pyrotechnics show, pop-up food trucks, and live entertainment on Main Street.

A highlight of the launch will be the eight by eight metre inflatable installation, which will be switched on by Mayor of The Hills Shire, Dr Michelle Byrne.

As part of Hills Illuminate, visitors will be able to create their own artworks using a paintbrush and keyboard to create a visual and musical masterpiece. This interactive aspect of the installation, called Lumifonica, will allow visitors to play and interact with a real-time reflection of their creativity.

Plus, some of the art created during the children’s Christmas art workshops, held in November, is already on display in the Centre. Kids artworks are projected onto a three by three metre ‘gift box’ light installation in the Woolworths Quad, and the other in the Coles Quad.

To add to the exciting list, shoppers will be treated to FREE family-friendly entertainment, including face painters, kids rides, a DJ and street style food trucks.

Hill Illuminate will run every evening starting from this Thursday, December 7 until Saturday, December 23.
