Get active, healthy and have fun

Children will have non-stop fun and entertainment when the team at Motiv8sports comes to The Hills for a two-day summer camp.

Held on January 16 and January 17, the Summer Series event will focus on motivating and encouraging children to be the best they can be as they participate in 15 different non-contact sports.

Plus, each afternoon is jam-packed with water activities sure to keep attendees cool during the summer holidays.

Mayor of The Hills Shire, Councillor Yvonne Keane said Motiv8sports not only promoted fitness, but taught children important lessons on personal values including friendship, camaraderie, social interaction skills, patience and persistence and so much more.

“Motiv8sports provides children with a setting to meet new friends, develop their resilience, build confidence and most importantly have fun,” Mayor Keane said.

“The best part about the camp is that ability is irrelevant. It’s about joining in, having fun and giving it a go,” Mayor Keane added.

Participants will compete in either the True Blue or Green and Gold Army teams over the course of the camp to earn as many points as possible and ultimately be crowned Summer Camp Splash City Champions.

Director of Motiv8sports, David Hemmings (Coach David) said the company prided itself on creating a safe, supervised and dedicated environment where children used sports as a tool to increase their self-esteem.

“There are no gadgets or gimmicks at Motiv8sports,” Coach David said.

“Parents who send their children to our sports events know that we create a setting that is rewarding, safe, fair, disciplined and fuelled by constant motivation from our amazing coaching team.

“As we always say: ‘Sport is not easy. It makes you sweat, it gets the heart rate pumping, it involves thrills and rewarding moments’,” Coach David added.

The camp costs: $100 or $95 sibling discount.
