Free Chemical CleanOut this July

Hawkesbury City Council’s next Chemical CleanOut will be held on Sunday, 1 July 2018 from 9am to 3:30pm, at Hawkesbury Showground, Racecourse Road, Clarendon, entry via Gate 1. The event is run by the NSW Environment Protection Authority in conjunction with Hawkesbury City Council.

At Chemical CleanOut day, residents can reduce their domestic waste and pollution risks by safely disposing of any potentially hazardous household chemicals by taking them to the Chemical CleanOut.

These include:
• household cleaners and solvents
• batteries
• fluorescent globes and tubes
• paint and paint related products
• pesticides and herbicides
• poisons
• gas bottles
• fire extinguishers
• pool chemicals
• hobby chemicals
• acids and alkalis
• car batteries
• motor oils
• fuels and fluids.

Hawkesbury residents can also attend most Chemical CleanOut held across Sydney and NSW.

Hawkesbury residents can also access the FREE Penrith Community Recycling Centre at Gate 3, 96 Dunheved Circuit, St Marys which is open Monday to Friday 8:30 am to 2:00 pm and Saturday 8am to midday (closed Sundays & Public holidays). This is a FREE drop off location.

The following items may be taken to the Penrith Community Recycling Centre: mobile phones, paints, polystyrene foam, smoke detectors, fluorescent globes and tubes, computers and TVs, gas bottles and fire extinguishers, household and car batteries, and motor oils and other oils.
