Free author talk – Dor Slinkard

Author Dor Slinkard will be appearing at Hawkesbury Central Library on Thursday, 7 December from 10:30am – 12noon to talk about her new novel, ‘For the love of Patrick’.

This romantic novel is the first part in a turn of the century family saga starting out in Adelaide in 1892. The story follows two couples through the ups and downs of a turbulent time in our history, moving from Australia to Hawaii and England, before culminating with the battles of the Light Horse in the Middle East.

Dor is an experienced storyteller, whose writing has been inspired by her life as a jillaroo in the outback and as a race horse trainer.

This is a free event with tea and coffee provided. Bookings are essential, to book go to
