Free Australian movie – Oddball

Hawkesbury Library Service will screen Oddball on Thursday, 30 June at 10am and again at 6pm, in association with Roadshow.

Oddball is a feel good Australian family film directed by Stuart McDonald and is based on a true story of an eccentric chicken farmer who trains his mischievous dog to protect a penguin sanctuary from fox attacks.

The film stars Deborah Mailman, Shane Jacobson and Sarah Snook.

The movie will be shown in the Tebbutt Room, Hawkesbury Central Library, Deerubbin Centre, 300 George Street Windsor and runs for 95 minutes. Refreshments will be available before the screenings and everyone is welcome to bring along snacks and drinks to enjoy during the film.

The Mayor of Hawkesbury, Councillor Kim Ford said the free screenings at the local library in Windsor are a great way to meet up with family and friends from the local area.

“It’s free entertainment in a comfortable environment with good sound and a large screen,” Mayor Ford said.

“Refreshments are also provided, so we do ask people to make sure they book in advance.”

Bookings are essential, call 4560 4460 or email [email protected] with your name(s), contact number and which session you would like to attend. This film has a classified rating of G but children under the age of 15 must still be accompanied by an adult. Suitability for viewing is at the discretion of the parent/carer.

Free Movies @ Your Library events are held on the last Thursday of each month, except for January.
